PE Field Day – May 31/June 1

We know that with the help of our amazing parents/guardians we will be able to ensure a smooth and enjoyable day of activities for our students.  For anyone that would be interested in volunteering, they may have the choice of either signing up for the time that their child will be participating in their events or they may sign up for the entire day of activities.  There will be approximately 10 stations per grade level during the scheduled Field Day time.

A sign-up form will be provided and posted on our website on May 22nd for anyone interested in volunteering.

Thank you so very much.

A special thank you to Ms.  Montgomery, Grade 1 Teacher, and Ms. Wolinski, Art Teacher, for leading the charge in earning this prestigious and most important recognition.

HELP OUR SCHOOL WIN $10,000!

Dear Mays Chapel Families and Community,
This year, our school has entered the BGE Video Challenge! We need our community’s support to win this competition by voting for our submission!
WHAT IS THE BGE VIDEO CHALLENGE? The BGE Video Challenge was created to raise awareness for electrical safety by creating a creative and updated version of BGE’s “Wires Down” commercial. This school enrichment project awards a grand prize of $10,000 which will be designated for our Mays Chapel Music and Drama Department as well as for our Technology Department. Our goal is to use the funds to purchase new instruments, fund future musicals, and purchase new technological tools for our classrooms and future technology clubs. Mrs. Marsh and Mrs. Cox recruited a dozen students from Grades 1-5 to help them create the video to represent our school.

HOW DO I VOTE FOR MAYS CHAPEL’S SUBMISSION? Schools from all over the state of Maryland can submit, and the most voted videos will advance in the competition. Each vote counts! Starting November 28 through December 4th, you and your families can vote up to 3 times a day (voters must be or accompanied with someone 13 years or older) on www.bgevideochallenge.com. You can send this website out to friends and family via social media like Facebook or Twitter to remind them to vote as well!

We need YOU to spread the word about electrical safety for children by sharing and voting for our BGE Video each and every day at www.bgevideochallenge.com!
