4th Grade Teachers

Mrs. Caplan:

Mrs. Caplan has taught fourth grade in the Baltimore County Public School community since 2008. Before becoming a member of Team Mays, she taught at Sandy Plains Elementary School in the Southeast Area. She is passionate about 21st Century learning, and looks forward to working together with her students to utilize technology and optimize their educational experience. Mrs. Caplan, originally from New York, earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Towson University, and has since made Baltimore her home. She went on to earn a Graduate Certificate for Leadership in Technology Integration from Johns Hopkins University, and is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys all that Baltimore City life has to offer, but also loves to travel and experience new places.

 

Mrs. Krueger:

Mrs. Krueger has been teaching 5 years in Baltimore County as a kindergarten teacher with additional experience in fifth grade and private prekindergarten. She is certified in early and elementary childhood. Mrs. Krueger’s philosophy is that persistence equals success. Her interests include art, gardening, and learning new technology. She is married and has two high school daughters who keep her very busy. She has two dogs, one Pug and a rescued Chihuahua. She loves kids, chocolate, and animals.

 

Mrs. Zerhusen:

Mrs. Zerhusen is excited to be part of the new Mays Chapel Elementary School. Mrs. Zerhusen is a veteran teacher with more than 28 years of experience in public and private schools in the Baltimore area. She rejoined BCPS in 2009 as a mentor teacher and most recently has been teaching 3rd and 4th grades at Warren Elementary. Mrs. Zerhusen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology from Loyola University in Maryland. She lives in Cockeysville with her husband and enjoys spending time with their four children and two grandchildren. In the summer you will most likely find her at the family home in Ocean City Maryland.

Mrs. Watson: 

Mrs. Watson is very excited about the opening of Mays Chapel Elementary.  What an adventure we are going to take together in our new environment!  Mrs. Watson has been teaching for 23 years, wearing many hats from middle school science to 2nd grade.  She holds an advanced degree from Goucher College in special education and environmental science.  Mrs. Watson enjoys vacationing with her family in Long Island.
